The LS162QZ TK is a limited edition model based on the catalog model LS154Q, with the pickup changed to the MK-2S with open zebra coils and tortoiseshell body & neck binding. The neck pocket is also completed by hand, and in addition to the precision woodworking with little distortion, it uses traditional hot hide glue bonding. By using hide glue, a soft adhesive, the vibration of the strings spreads beautifully throughout the guitar, resulting in a clear sound that is less likely to be buried. This is a vintage-like model that does not incorporate many modern elements.
The PU is equipped with two PAF Vintage MK2 units. It has a good, earthy, smokey, and warm sound. The clean sound has a pleasant, crisp midrange, the front PU is sweet and smooth with little cloudiness, bright and sharp. The over-driven sound is hot and heavy and perfect for any type of rock. The bride PU is crunchy and wild, with plenty of bite so you can cut through the mix for both high-gain riffs, crunching rhythms and lead works. The front PU allows you to enjoy a sweet and relaxed lead tone. It is never cloudy, and has a good clarity that makes the sound fly far away, showing rich expressiveness. The neck is fast and comfortable, and the body is solid and not hollowed out. This also seems to contribute to the firm bottom and wide range. Because of the careful construction, production numbers are is small, and stock is always low. So score this beauty while you still can.
