Here's a real treat from The Guitar Dude for all you discerning bass aficionados out there. This killer Fender Traditional '60s Jazz Bass is just what is in order to help your summertime blues become a thing of the past. This recreation of the '62 Jazz Bass features a high quality basswood body, and reproduces the celebrated tones of the Fender Jazz Basses from the early 1960s. This timeless classic instrument provides great performance and sound. Leo Fender first introduced what became known as the Jazz Bass in 1960 as the "Deluxe Model", it borrowed design elements from the Jazzmaster guitar. It was renamed the Jazz Bass as Fender felt that its redesigned neck, narrower and more rounded than that of the Precision Bass, would appeal more to jazz musicians. What we now know is what countless rock legends figured out early on- the Jazz Bass is a serious rock and roll animal that's ready to change it's spots at a moments notice and is capable of jazz and so much more. This particular piece of R&R royalty is in a class by itself with played in feel, warm, girthy tones and a neck that plays itself. The bass is in extremely clean, excellent condition and only has one ding on/chip on the back. (see pics). The bass is a treat to play and sounds fantastic.
