Here is another tone monster '62 Reissue Fender Jazz bass that rocks in every way possible. It has a nice warm vintage tone with plenty of thump/punch. This one is extremely clean considering it is about 24 years old. It has very little play-wear and overall this guitar remains in excellent condition and this is one killer sounding bass. If you are gigging or jamming with friends you don't have to worry about a small ding, because the bumps and bruises just add to its vintage appeal. It plays and sounds excellent and that's what is most important. This bass is a great playing tone monster in need of a happy and loving home. I just had her freshly set up with new strings and low action and she is ready to rock!! It was beautifully crafted by the fine luthiers of Fender Japan at the Tokai Gakki Factory. Many are familiar with the Fuji-Gen Factory who were the makers of the early on Fender Japan guitars, but in 1997 the Tōkai Corp. joined Dyna Gakki as the EXCLUSIVE manufacturers of Fenders that were made in Japan. These guitars continued to be stamped "Crafted In Japan." Anyone who knows their facts will tell you that these early Tokai Fenders are truly excellent instruments. Fun fact, when Fender announced that they were again manufacturing guitars in the US at their new Corona, CA plant, the guitars they pictured were ACTUALLY made by Tokai! Some people feel that that some of these Fender guitars are some of the best quality that Fender has ever produced over-seas. It sports Japanese made Vintage Jazz Bass pickups and a red tortoise shell pickguard that oozes with vintage vibes. As far as playability it is in perfect shape and sounds like a killer Fender Jazz Bass should. The neck is perfectly straight and the rosewood fretboard is a dark, rich chocolate brown color that is of great quality. It was made between 1999-2002 (check the Fender Serial data-base ) and definitely has that authentic vintage vibe and will continue to age beautifully. Anyone who brings her home will be thrilled. Rock out in style, with some vintage Fender Mojo!
