Gibson has a rich history of making some fantastic guitars and cool designs that to this day lay the foundation for so much inspiration. Think of how many copies or versions of Les Pauls, Flying V's or Explorer style guitars have been made, well the ES-335 is no exception to this rule and is also an all time classic. Countless artists have rocked, them and for good reason, quite simply put they are amazing and well balanced instruments that can handle any genre of music. For your viewing pleasure and possible consumption we offer up a truly special guitar. This classic 1999 Vintage sunburst Gibson ES-335 Dot has a striking figured top and old school vintage feel, with a sweet vibe all the way around. She is super clean for her age and is on par with any Custom Shop we've had in quite a while. Gibson produced some of their best guitars in the 90’s and this one is truly breath-taking. Originally after being built it was hand selected to go to Yamano in Japan. If you are unfamiliar with them, do a google search but long story short... they were the first and PREMIER dealer in Japan and had super high quality control standards, often got to cherry pick the best examples and has many special runs and limited edition guitars only available to them. This particular example has a SICK figured top and back and has been professionally set up... it plays superbly. I would say it is well balanced and feels amazing to play. It is all is original and in great condition. The binding is nice and tight with no cracking. There is no buckle rash on the back. (just a few small scratches on the top of the back upper bout) No notable big blemishes or dings anywhere. It has very gentle playwear with some lovely subtle vintage aging all over, including the hardware and the plastics. The white binding turning cream and the metal hardware dull and nicely tarnished. There is a very small spot of lacquer wear on the top of the lower bout. (see pics) This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning perfectly, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. The sweet tone is in great part supplied by the original '57 Classics, which sound very warm and articulate. It has a slim tapered 60's profile neck which feels very comfortable, fast and smooth to play. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC still with silk shroud. The case is functioning fine, but the latches have dulled over the years. Please check out the pics and feel free to ask any questions. This is an absolutely killer guitar that is ready to be your main squeeze.

It has just been professionally set up and dialed in for optimal tone and playability. It has low action with no buzzing or dead spots and is an absolute joy to play. It has been deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been leveled / dressed / polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor - a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is spot on and it plays excellent. All the electronics work flawlessly.
